COVID Safe Event

We are constantly monitoring the situation following NSW Health legislation to deliver a COVID safe event in February 2022. We continue to respond to the updated guidelines for outdoor sporting events as provided by NSW Health and the NSW Office of Sport.

What to expect

Competitors will be updated via email and this website as we progress towards the race day. Access and movements around the park and beach, both before and after the race will reflect the guidelines regarding social distancing, hygiene and cleaning, contact tracing and keeping participants and volunteers safe.

Competitors will also be advised in the week preceding the swim exactly when you will be expected on site to collect your timing band and swim cap immediately prior to the rolling swim start we will be using in 2022.

Physical Distancing

Please keep your social distance of 1.5m apart from other competitors and volunteers throughout the day. We ask that you enter and exit through the designated areas and leave the park promptly after your swim - to remain COVID Safe compliant in 2022.

Hygiene and cleaning

There will be sanitiser stations available throughout the park. Cleaning crew will monitor high use areas. Please wash your hands before and after contact with surfaces around the event.

Contact tracing

All entrants, events staff and volunteers will be required to self-check-in upon arrival, with proof of your double vaccination status. There will be Service NSW QR codes around the venue to self-check-in. The event will be subject to any Public Health Orders.

Good luck with your training and stay safe and healthy!
